The publisher of “Grand Theft Auto 5” is hiring for a newPS4 and Xbox One video game. According to a report from iGame Responsibly on Feb. 10, Rockstar Gamessent out job offers looking to add multiple programmers to the development team of Rockstar New England.
The first programmer is expected to “help push forward technology related to ragdolls, cloth, fragments, collision – amongst others – that make our worlds come alive.” Moreover, the graphics programmer is going to be responsible for helping the studio “extend the capabilities” of the internal graphics engine to create “exciting visuals for Rockstar’s next big title.”
Before being acquired by the publisher of “GTA 5” in 2008, Rockstar New England was known as Mad Doc Software. The studio is best known for the “Empire Earth” series. Under the Rockstar Games umbrella, the development worked on “Bully: Scholarship Edition,” “Max Payne 3” and the aforesaid “Grand Theft Auto 5.”
The publisher previously disclosed that a few projects are already underway for the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems. Potential sequels to the “Bully” and “Read Dead Redemption” franchises have been rumored for quiet some time. A few analysts also believed that “Grand Theft Auto 5” would eventually be ported to the new consoles as well.
